COWES WEEK 2023 29 July - 4 August

 We are offering simply the best way to do Cowes Week. You will be racing on Zero II, a numerous regatta winning race yacht. She has recently had a re-spray and will have some new sails for the event. Zero II finished in 2nd place at Cowes Week in 2014, again in 2016 and again in 2017. In 18 & 19 Zero II was chartered by a team. Solent racing at its very best.  She is now ready to go and have a crack at winning in 2023! 

Cowes Week is the worlds oldest sailing regatta. 40 classes racing every day. 10,000 competitors. Its packed with plenty of action both on and off the water. There are numerous displays, including the Red Arrows and a huge firework display to end the week. Shore side there are events every evening from black tie cocktail parties to dancing in your sailing boots to the live bands every night.  Be sure to announce it so everybody knows and gets excited about it.

 At VME Racing you will be looked after by two Racing Coaches throughout the week. In 2016 & 2017 the Cowes Week team first met on Friday and after one days practice they won Sunday race. In 2016 in winds up to 30 knots, rather lively spinnaker ride from Lymington to Cowes, we made it, our S2 spinnaker not quite!  The team will be made up of individuals many only meeting for the first time just before the event. The coaching/sailing team will be there to help assist you in getting the best out of you and the boat. Building a fun team to give it their best at winning the week.  

Our aim is to have as much fun ashore as we do afloat. We will organize a few nights at the many restaurants in Cowes. Or you are free to make your own plans We also have a base in the Yacht Haven where after racing we will fire up the BBQ for some well earned food all washed down with a glass or two while we debrief the day and make plans for evening. If you wish to stay ashore we can direct you to many options to suit all budgets. 

 
It is eight days of fun both afloat and ashore! Not only will you have 8 days of racing you will also have included in the package,
